A reminder of a great source of free GIS data for Florida – The Florida Geographic Data Library (FGDL) is a mechanism for distributing spatial (GIS) data throughout the state of Florida. The data is organized by county and state. There are currently over 350 GIS data layers in the FGDL, including data on Land Use, Hydrology, Soils, Transportation, Political Boundaries, Environmental Quality, Conservation, Census, and more. See http://www.fgdl.org/ or enter the FTP site at ftp://ftp1.fgdl.org/
